In-School Music Programs

Here at Keiko Studios, we offer our services to schools interested, because we believe in the community and we would like to be more involved and develop a relationship. We will show schools how important and valuable music can be! Here is a list of the in-school programs we have available below:
Pre-K Music Program
Our Pre-K music program features a series of preschool music classes. In the 45 minute group lessons for children ages 1-4 years-old, students will learn basic musical concepts through percussion instruments, listening, singing, and movement.
Middle School Program
Students will learn how to read musical notation using a method book and apply it to their instrument. They will also learn musical concepts like tempo, dynamics, pitch, form, and rhythm through playing and will perform pieces they’ve learned at the end of the school year. Students will learn technique, sight reading, and music theory, with the additional aspects of playing in a group: listening, playing in unison, and timing.
High School Program
Students will learn musical concepts like tempo, dynamics, pitch, form, and rhythm through movement. If provided, students can learn percussion, glockenspiel (small xylophones) or recorder and potentially play in a band-like setting with different assigned instruments. Students will be able to read and recognize quarter, half, dotted-half, and whole notes as well as get the chance to perform pieces they’ve learned at the end of the school year.
