Ian has been playing music as long as he can remember. Starting on drums and percussion at age 4, Ian's expertise now spans over 20 years of session and live musician experience on drums and piano, as well as a dedication to the joy of learning inspired by a family of educators. After 6 years of working and teaching in Boston, Ian's recently relocated to NYC and is excited to offer his talents to a new community.

As well as playing festivals and listening rooms up and down the east coast, Ian has shared the stage with The Accidentals, BJ Leiderman, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and Third Eye Blind, among others. His fourth studio album is slated to release in early 2026.
