Glenn Gibson

Glenn D. Gibson was born and raised in Jamaica, Queens, New York and was introduced in the world of music by his alto saxophonist father. With that, and collaborations with musicians in the community, Glenn cites the variety of Caribbean, "British Invasion"/Rock, Rhythm & Blues, Gospel, and Jazz music as influences, which helped him cultivate a special kind of adaptability to playing in different musical settings today.

He has worked with vocalists and instrumentalists of various genres in and outside of New York City for live performances, studio recordings, and workshops. Besides bands, he has gigged via club date agencies, or as an independent entity, where his has worked with The Persuaders, The Marvelettes, Colonel Abrams, Melba Moore, LaLa Brooks (of The Crystals), and Bob Baldwin (jazz pianist/producer).

Among the venues he's performed at, including -but not limited to- the tristate area, are the Philadelphia Convention Center, Crampton Auditorium in D.C., Bayside Jenny in Japan, Mikell's, The Apollo, The Cutting Room, Cafe Wha?, and the now-defunct B.B. King's Blues Club & Lounge in New York City.
