Emerson Cyrus Olson

Emerson Olson is an interdisciplinary violinist and teacher based in New York City.  Originally from Colorado, they have performed and taught at multiple venues across state lines including The Tank, The Ent Center for the Arts, SculptureCenter, TheatreWorks, Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, The Big Instrument, Rocky Mountain Academy of Music, Youth on Record, and many more. Emerson also has experience in theatre, performance art, Alexander Technique, conducting, and podcasting, the last of which can be seen on Youth on Rewind and Underground at the Showcase hosted by Youth on Record.

Emerson graduated from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs in 2022 with a B.A. in Visual and Performing Arts and a B.A. in Anthropology. They recently graduated from New York University with an M.A. in performance studies where they researched the unique relationship between musicians and their instruments.
