Job Description:
We are looking for committed Music Instructors to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their musicianship and showmanship. The ideal candidate will be passionate for music and music education with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a lesson/class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in music and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.
Responsibilities:

Present private and group lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate the learning of piano technique, as well as sight reading and music theory

Provide individualized instruction to each student (ages 5 to adults) by promoting interactive learning and having the flexibility to teach different genres and styles of music

Create and distribute educational content (sheet music, lesson notes, assignments etc.)

Plan and prepare students for bi-annual concerts and occasional offsite performances

Assess and record students’ progress and provide feedback via provided website

Communicate timely with management and administrative staff verbally and via email

Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom

Collaborate with other faculty and participate in staff meetings
Skills:
-
Proven experience as a music instructor
-
Years of experience as a instrumentalist (performing, practicing, or learning)
-
Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Well-organized and committed

Creative and energetic
