Rosdeli A. Marte

Rosdeli Angela Marte is a Vocalist and Songwriter from Queens, New York. Rosdeli found her craft when she was introduced to Jazz, letting it seep into other flavors of music such as Neo-Soul, Avant-garde and Pop. Her songwriting styles range from ambient and airy to upbeat and swingin'. She has shared stages with artists such as Tony Bennett, Lalah Hathaway, and Wynton Marsalis & the JALC Orchestra. In 2016, she received the Downbeat Student Award for Outstanding Performance for Small Jazz Vocal Ensemble with her All-Female Band, while being featured in the Downbeat Magazine front covered by Diana Krall. Rosdeli has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Apollo, Lincoln Center, The Sheen Center, Rockwood Music Hall, Silvana, and many other great venues in NYC.

Rosdeli recently graduated from The New School as a double major in Psychology and Jazz Vocal Performance and is a recipient of the Tony Bennett Scholarship. She performs with John Coltrane's former bass player Reggie Workman, and recently performed at the Staten Island Jazz Festival. She is working on original arrangements for her band, Rosdeli & the Martians and currently performs all around the New York City area. She continues to captivate hearts through story-telling and open ears through experimental improvisation.
